About

Welcome to my blog! My name is Amber Blose (formerly Amber Hart). I’ve lived in Maryland my whole life, graduating from Queen Anne’s County High School in 1998.

In my early 20’s I moved to the Annapolis area. While working at a downtown bar I met my future husband Chris. After 8 years of growing and learning much about ourselves, we finally tied the knot in February 2011. We were also expecting our first child together. The honeymoon phase was cut short when two months later we unexpectedly lost our son. He was born premature at only 24 1/2 weeks.

16 months later we are doing better and actually looking forward to trying again for a family. That was until I went to the doctor after I found a lump in my right breast.

The following is my personal story with breast cancer. No sugar coating will be found. That’s just not my style.

  1. Praying for you Amber. Your Mom and Dad are great friends and I remember you and Justin as just kids around the house. I remember you liked my black VW Golf when I first got it! So sorry to hear about the loss of your child and your breast cancer. Life can be so beautiful and cruel at the same time. Stay strong and know you have a lot of love and support around you. 2. Wow! Stay strong, You are a true fighter and survivor. Our prayer are with you and your family.

  3. Amber – You are my hero, and I love you lots. Your courage and strength are truly an inspiration. You are the living example of “Tough times don’t last forever, tough people do.” Always remember you have a Family Tree next to you, every step of the way. – Jeremy Elation Olsen –

  4. Ber,

I have known you for the majority of my life. I will always have your back girl. You are one the strongest and most optimistic people I have ever had the privilege…. nay, the honor of knowing. Words can not describe the things that we have gone threw together, good and bad. I miss and love you irrevocably. I’m just a phone call and or, plane ride away. I believe that you will overcome this and it will soon be a memory of accomplishment. Be proud. Be bold. Be Ber.

    Sincerely,
    Your friend and brother

  5. My sweet Amber, round one is over. I know you felt all the love sent your way from so many of us.
You are a very strong woman. When there are days when you need a shoulder to cry on or a day to just complain, curse this disease, and just vent, you know I’m here for you with a huge heart full of love for you. Come visit and I’m sure Bill will have some homemade soup for you.
    Love you,
    Mary

  6. Amber, each time I read about this I am truly moved to tears. I feel like I’ve known you (from a distance) my entire life, and your loss and your battle with cancer just breaks my heart. You are your mothers daughter, and you will give this hell and you will WIN this battle. Like my Uncle Tommy said, you have a lot of love and support around you. My thoughts are with you, STAY STRONG!!!!

  7. Stand Tall, Girlfriend. You can beat this – you are one feisty chick with the heart and personal power to do whatever you choose in life. I’m so sorry your energy has to move in this direction, but know you’ll conquer this and be an inspiration to everyone around you in the process. Sending you love and light from much too far away.
